Chocolate-Dipped Popcorn Balls
Marshmallow-coated popcorn is garnished with candy-coated chocolates and honey-roasted peanuts then dipped in chocolate.
Ingredients
- 1 bag (2.9 ounces) (11 cups popped) Gourmet® Butter Microwave Popcorn
- 1 cup Candy-coated chocolate candies
- 1/2 cup Honey roasted peanuts
- 1 package (10.5 ounces) Miniature marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons Fleischmann's® Original-stick
- PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
- 1 cup Chocolate morsels (semisweet or milk)
- 1 tablespoon Shortening
Directions
- Prepare popcorn according to package directions. Remove all unpopped kernels. Combine popcorn, candies and peanuts in large bowl.
- Place marshmallows in 8-cup glass measure; add slices of Fleischmann's. Microwave on HIGH 1-1/2 minutes or until marshmallows are melted when stirred. Pour over popcorn mixture, tossing gently to evenly coat.
- Spray hands with cooking spray, form popcorn mixture into 1-1/2-inch balls.
- Combine morsels and shortening in microwave safe bowl or 8-cup glass measure; microwave on HIGH for 1-2 minutes or until smooth when stirred. Dip half of each popcorn ball into melted chocolate. Place on wax paper until chocolate sets (can refrigerate 30 minutes to set chocolate). Wrap each ball in plastic wrap and tie with colored ribbons to match the occasion.
