Caramel-Nut Popcorn Crunch
The economical alternative to ready-to-eat popcorn and nut snacks, popcorn and pecans are coated with a sweet caramel syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 bag (2.9 ounces) (11 cups popped) Gourmet® Butter Microwave Popcorn
- PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
- 1 cup Pecan halves
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) Fleischmann's® Original-stick
- 1 cup Firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300°F. Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
- Prepare popcorn according to package directions. Remove all unpopped kernels. Place popped corn and pecans in bottom of prepared pan.
- Melt Fleischmann's in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add brown sugar, syrup and salt; bring to boil and boil for 2 minutes stirring constantly with wooden spoon. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda; mix well. Pour over popcorn mixture, tossing gently to evenly coat.
- Bake for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Remove from oven; stir again. Spread onto wax paper to cool thoroughly. Store caramel corn in tightly sealed container.
