Ingredients

  • 1 bag (2.9 ounces) (11 cups popped) Gourmet® Butter Microwave Popcorn
  • 1/2 cup Fleischmann's® Original-stick
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 container (16 ounces)
  • Ready-to-spread frosting with sprinkles
  • Birthday candles (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F. Spray 13x9-inch baking pan and 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. Prepare popcorn according to package directions. Remove any unpopped kernels. Spread popped corn evenly into prepared pan.
  3. Melt Fleischmann's in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add sugar, corn syrup and salt; bring to boil. Boil 2 minutes stirring constantly; remove from heat. Stir in baking soda; mix well. Pour over popcorn, tossing gently to evenly coat.

  5. Spread frosting on top mound of popcorn cupcake; add sprinkles and candle, if desired. Store in tightly sealed container.
