Maple-Nut Popcorn

Ingredients

  • PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray

  • 1 bag (82.3 g each) Orville Redenbacher's® Gourmet® Butter Microwave Popcorn

  • 1 cup unsalted cashews, macadamia nuts, or pecans, toasted

  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

  • 6 tablespoons butter

  • 1-1/2 cups maple syrup

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • Step one

    Line large shallow baking pan with aluminum foil; spray with cooking spray. Prepare popcorn according to package directions. Remove all unpopped kernels.

  • Step two

    Place popcorn, nuts, and cranberries in large bowl; toss together.

  • Step three

    Combine butter, maple syrup, and salt in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Boil 18 to 20 minutes, without stirring, until mixture reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer.

  • Step four

    Pour syrup mixture over popcorn mixture and stir briskly with wooden spoon sprayed with cooking spray. Immediately spread popcorn mixture in pan. Cool completely. Break into bite-size pieces. Store in tightly sealed container.
